Weekly Update for May 19, 2025

As we conclude our last full week of school, I want you to remember all the reasons we have to rejoice. We are again going into summer fully staffed for the upcoming school year. We have witnessed the confirmation of all 7 of our 8th graduating students. We serve a congregation that has, time and time again, provided the financial means for us to continue the wonderful ministry we have at St. Paul. Blessings on top of blessings.

All Staff

  • We have our annual day at the park on Thursday - Please review the Last Day of School Operational Plan

  • Unchanged, but sharing this again - Our enrollment continues to come into clearer focus each day. At this point, I believe that we will have between 169-177 students in our school next year. Please pray for all our families, but especially the children in the gap between committed and deciding.

Faculty

  • Faculty Meeting on Tuesday

  • I am providing everyone with a copy of the May Inservice 2025 Agenda with the understanding that it is still under construction

    • Our day will be broken up into the following parts

      • Operational Meeting - 8-12

      • Scheduling Meeting - 1-2:45

      • Blueprint Schools Report - 3:00-4:00

  • Please add any unaddressed maintenance issues to the Summer 2025 Room Updates

Weekly Update for May 12, 2025

Another conversation with Dana Kirchoff was about our educational philosophy. She shared that as we continue to look at our marketing, crafting one will be essential. I took our mission and vision, plugged them into ChatGPT, and got this:

Our new Educational Philosophy?

  1. We believe that every child is a unique creation of God, called to grow in faith, knowledge, and character. We are committed to nurturing the whole child—spiritually, academically, emotionally, and socially—through an excellent, Christ-centered education.

  2. Rooted in God’s Word, our teaching connects faith with real-life application, equipping students to live out their beliefs with confidence and joy. We partner with families in discipleship, helping children apply their faith daily and encouraging them to share the good news of Jesus in their communities and beyond.

Not bad, I thought, but I am open to your feedback.

All Staff

  • At this point, the Arndts have an accepted offer on a home in Green Bay and have an accepted offer on their current home in Watertown. We continue to pray for them as they prepare to join our ministry.

  • Unchanged, but sharing this again - Our enrollment continues to come into clearer focus each day. At this point, I believe that we will have between 168-176 students in our school next year. Please pray for all our families, but especially the children in the gap between committed and deciding.

  • I do plan to speak with all hourly staff by the end of next week to discuss plans for next year.

Faculty

  • Bible Study on Tuesday

  • I am providing everyone with a copy of the May Inservice 2025 Agenda with the understanding that it is still under construction

    • I am proposing making changes this year to keep us more efficient

      • A number of items are informational and will not be discussed at our meeting. If you want an item moved from informational to discussion, either comment on it in the agenda or email me

    •  Our day will be broken up into the following parts

      • Operational Meeting - 8-12

      • Scheduling Meeting - 1-2:45

      • Blueprint Schools Report - 3:00-4:00

  • Please add any unaddressed maintenance issues to the Summer 2025 Room Updates

Weekly Update for May 5, 2025

I met with Dana Kirchoff, who is doing a marketing analysis of our school. She shared the following comments during that meeting:

St. Paul’s emphasis on faith-based social-emotional learning, through programs like PBIS and SOAR, equips students with the skills they need to thrive both academically and socially, setting it apart from other area schools.

St. Paul’s extended learning program is lightyears beyond other schools

These things only happen because of willing hearts and minds. I thank God daily that I am able to work with a team that sees our work as ministering to the whole family.

All Staff

  • Two weeks ago, I wrote this - “Please pray for Chris and Haley Arndt as they deliberate their calls to St. Paul to serve as our 5th and 7th Grade teachers.” Today, I ask for your prayers as they prepare to join our family at St. Paul.

  • Our enrollment continues to come into clearer focus each day. At this point, I believe that we will have between 168-176 students in our school next year. Please pray for all our families, but especially the children in the gap between committed and deciding.

Faculty

  • The PTO agreed to buy lunch for teachers on May 8 from Jersey Mike's—Place your order here. If you can’t remember if you ordered, you can see the orders here.
