I pray you have a restful and relaxing break as we celebrate the birth of our Savior. Unless something pressing happens, there will be no update next week.
All Staff
BOTR
The fence gates are up and look marvelous. I was out opening and closing them on Thursday.
The flooring will be put on the second floor over break. Be careful if you go in there and avoid the taped-off areas.
Other Maintenance Projects
Over the break, we will add a few picnic tables (Thank you, PTO) to the playground and have a basketball hoop mounted to the side of the school (Thank you, Aaron Wellhoefer and Josh Landwehr)
The stoves in the kitchen will be removed by a 3rd party. These will be replaced by a single residential stove.
Windows are up in the meeting room. Finish work will be forthcoming.
Our next step will be to pick out a curtain color
one vote for Navy so far.
If you made a request for an exterior door key, you may pick that key up from Zandalee after the break.
Faculty
We will be making some adjustments to our morning devotional. On our first day back, we will be shifting to the Dawn (Lauds) devotion. We will continue to meet in teams afterward; however, on Tuesdays and Fridays, we will have ALL staff working with 7th & 8th Grade meet to discuss our ongoing plans to support the learning of the students in that classroom. This will mean the following changes:
Melissa will join Jean J, Julie, & Kristin on Tuesdays & Fridays.
Aaron will join the Liz and Ashley on Tuesdays & Fridays
There will be no change to teams on Mondays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays.
Now that the fence is up, I would like to get a banner or two developed and hung. Here is the preliminary design. Feedback is welcome. One thing that may happen is splitting it into two separate banners. One would be for general use, and one would be for enrollment.
Finally, with our vision work nearly complete, I have started on a new handout that can be used to explain our mission and vision to prospective families. You can find it here. The second page, especially, needs much work, so your feedback is appreciated.
