Weekly Update for July 22, 2024

 

All Staff

At Tuesday’s Church Council Meeting

• The purchase of a warming cabinet was approved

• A decision was made to defer the project to add hot water to the Fellowship Hall bathrooms

• A discussion was held about MFP and enrollment. No decisions were made, but we must consider expenditures, as enrollment may not meet MFP expectations

Registration will take place in the new ministry center this year. More information will be available on August 5, but a plan draft is here.

Faculty

• Students will be added to all software platforms after registration on August 12.

• K-2 and Extended Learning, please take the time to assess what apps you will need on the iPads. The request list needs to be completed before August 1st. The form is listed in the important links, and access to last year's list is linked inside that document. 

• Window Door Curtains

• I am just checking to make sure we have coverings for all our classroom door windows. If some are needed, please email me by July 30 so we can order some.

Weekly Update for July 15, 2024

 

All Staff

The hot water in the fellowship hall bathrooms has been put on hold. It will be discussed at our next Church Council meeting. 

Blue Sky will secure dispensers and solve some lingering door issues. They will be onsite on Monday, July 15.

Melissa will have back surgery on July 15. We pray for her and her medical team as she goes into surgery. Linda Mendolla will be substituting for the first three days.

Faculty

Please review this document by July 30 with the sections you want to use for the upcoming school year. If you wish to make changes to the document, please email Zandalee and me regarding the changes.

• Students will be added to PowerSchool sections after registration on August 12.

• Yearly academic plans should be hyperlinked to this document.

Forward Exam results for individual students may not be available until August 27 this year due to changes in the test. You can find the official release information here. 

We now have a “Book Room” to store extra workbooks/materials if you do not want to store them in your classroom. We will use the closet under the stairwell next to the Childcare classroom. I have relocated some extra Amplify materials and investigation journals I found in the Fellowship Hall Closet to this space.

Diane Kratz has notified me that she will not substitute teach for us this year.

Weekly Update for July 8, 2024

 

Faculty

The School Handbook contains all the information for this year, and there will be no registration folders. Zandalee will work to make copies and have them available in the new office for home visits. Individual classroom letters should be shared with Zandalee and me, and she will print copies. Please have classroom letters to Zandalee by July 11. Letters may be tucked into the School Handbook or paperclipped inside the front cover. Please coordinate with other teachers and use this spreadsheet to track home visits.
