Weekly Update for July 1, 2024

 

All Staff

Compensation Agreements have been printed, signed, and placed in your mailboxes. Please sign them and return them to my mailbox as soon as possible. Zandalee will have copies of the hourly employee's compensation agreements; you may get yours from her.

Faculty

• Building work continues. We will be making a push on Monday, 7/1, and Tuesday, 7/2, to move several items and get the flooring done in Room 132. We will be working from 2-7 PM. If you are available to assist, please stop by. 

• I have asked Jared to add Rooms 20 and 21 as reservable rooms. Priority will go to art, science, and music uses, but these are learning spaces that can be used for other activities.

• Please continue to reserve rooms for the next school year, and please make sure to use the SPL School - Internal calendar for summer absences. If you have any questions, please reach out to Zandalee.

• Orders

• Amazon orders will be placed on July 8

• School Specialty orders are being placed with a delivery date of July 31

• Plumbers will be in the building on July 11 to install point-of-use water heaters in the bathrooms in the Activity Center.

Please keep Melissa in your prayers as she deals with an ongoing back issue.

Please keep Ashley and her family in your prayers as they settle into their new home.

Update for June 24, 2024

 

All Staff

Faculty

• Please continue to reserve rooms for the next school year, and please make sure to use the SPL School - Internal calendar. If you have any questions, please reach out to Zandalee.

• Enrollment will be tracked on the following Google Sheet and only the following Google Sheet. Please do not ask Zandalee to update any other documents with enrollment information. There are still several moving parts as we work through the summer and meetings with families. 

• The separate grid view many teachers prefer has been moved to the spreadsheet as the second tab.

• Amplify

• K-8 supplies have been inventoried; you may take them whenever you wish. All materials are currently located in Room 023. Any remaining materials on 7/11  will be stored in the Fellowship Hall Closet.

• I loaded roster data into the Amplify portal including Faculty, classes, and students. It may get wiped out in July, I can’t get a straight answer from the vendor on this, but for now, it is there if you want to play around in the portal. I will add the new students in August

• To access the online portal, go to my.amplify.com, and select Login with Google

• We may not have access to Boost Reading until mid-July

• Summer Room Updates can be found here.
• Art will be in with a group on Sunday evening (6/23) at 6 PM to move some of the heavier items

• Much work has already been accomplished this summer, including painting in two classrooms

• Janet Royce has agreed to coordinate our summer deep cleaning; please contact her if you have any questions.
