Weekly Update for April 1, 2024

 

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. - Isaiah 53:5

We thank Jesus for his redeeming power. May God’s peace be with you, knowing you are a redeemed child of God.

All Staff

• BOTR

• Outside locks were not changed last week. It is anticipated that they will be updated by April 5. Anticipate needing to use the North Entrance going forward.

• There will be a BOTR meeting on April 4. Please email any concerns to me by the end of the day on April 3.

• As we continue to use the new building, we continue to uncover new opportunities. Please be patient as changes and updates are made.

• We are working on making keys for everyone for the interior doors in the new building. Please work with Zandalee if you need a key.

Faculty

• The Eagle will be made available on April 2.

• Leadership Team meeting on April 2.

Weekly Update for March 25, 2024

 

Ezra 6:16 Then the people of Israel—the priests, the Levites, and the rest of the exiles—celebrated the dedication of the house of God with joy.

After overcoming various obstacles and opposition, the Jewish community finished the temple reconstruction. We have encountered delays and setbacks, yet we are ready to conduct classes in the new addition. Thank the Lord for guiding us to this next step in our school’s history.

All Staff

• BOTR

• Outside locks will be changed by the end of the week, and current outside keys will no longer work. Please plan to use the North entrance or one of the two existing East entrances with your badge to enter the building. Access control will be set up at the new main entrance by April 1. 

• We are working on making keys for everyone for the interior doors in the new building. Please work with Zandalee if you need a key.

Faculty

• No Eagle this week

• We have our Monthly Professional Development on Tuesday, March 26, starting at 2:30. 

• We will discuss student needs first and then break into separate teams.

SOAR

I will look at the 4th quarter dates and plan some Wednesdays as an activity with a buddy classroom. We will have our first buddy activity on Wednesday, the 27th. The 7th & 8th graders will partner with the 5th graders. The 6th graders will partner with the 4th graders. The 3rd graders will partner with the 1st graders, and the 2nd graders will partner with the 3K/4K(afternoon) & 5K kids. Thanks!

Weekly Update for March 18, 2024

 

"There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience." - Hebrews 4:9-11

As you take time in the next week to rest physically and emotionally, remember to take time to rest spiritually in our Lord.

Weekly Update for March 4, 2024

The apostle Paul reminds us to rely on God's strength and grace to accomplish tasks and endure challenges. Whatever you are facing today, remember that you can draw upon God's power to sustain you in your endeavors.

All Staff

• Security system upgrades are scheduled to continue next week

• We received word that the door entry cameras are back ordered until April. This will not impact our access to the building but will delay our ability to allow guests to use this system.

• At this time, Blue Sky is planning for an occupancy permit on March 15

• A lot of work will be taking place for the new front entrance in the next few weeks

• Board of Christian Education Meeting

• Due to scheduling conflicts, this has been moved to March 18 at 6:30 PM.

Faculty

• Here is the 03.07.2024 Eagle. Please make sure all updates are completed by Wednesday at 2 pm

• We have our Faculty Bible Study on Tuesday, March 5, starting at 3:45.

• Amplify sample materials are in the meeting room. You may pick them up at any time, but please return them by Friday of next week.

SOAR

Let’s do an activity in the gym on Wednesday, March 6th! Look for the plans to be in the whole school PBIS document at the beginning of next week. The 7th & 8th-grade teaching team also asked that I plan some activities where bigs can spend time with middles, and our younger middles can work with our littles. I will look at the 4th quarter dates and plan some Wednesdays to be an activity with a buddy classroom. Look for details about this after Spring Break!
