Weekly Update for July 31, 2023

All Staff
Please join me in welcoming our member Zandalee Zimmer as our new Office Manager. Her first day will be August 7. We are so excited to have her join our team!

The networking project continues. All line testing is complete, and we are structurally ready to switch over. However, we need to get all the switches (back ordered). We are working with CESA 6 on a solution that will allow us to make a move but will require some work. Stay tuned for updates. In the interim, any technology issues should be emailed to Jared.

Plan for a power outage of approximately 2-4 hours on August 3 or 4 as WPS works to move us to a new power source. 

We have our new T-shirts with the Forever Faithful logo on the back. Please plan to wear these shirts at Registration (August 7) and on our first day back in session (August 23). If they do not fit correctly, please complete the survey shared by our PTO president.

Faculty
Please remember to complete/update your self-assessment and share it with me.

Jean Jammer, Kristin, and I have been working to update the Faculty Handbook this summer. Please take a few moments to review and comment if you have questions or concerns.

Our Library is purging some of its books. Several books are in boxes labeled "free" on the steps inside the Library. Feel free to help yourself if you are interested. 

Please note that two optional meetings have been added to our August 7 meeting agenda:
Aevrill Anderson (HRA Provider) Call at 3:15 PM (Tim Hussey will call my cell)
Optional BOTR Meeting at 3:30 PM (Jim and Art will be available to answer your questions).

All Staff
The power may be out in the building on Monday, July 24. We have been told this will happen early in the morning, but the time may need to be shifted depending on some actions at the job site.


Faculty
We are reviving the St. Paul Wish List with a twist. We are moving our wish list to Amazon. Please send any "wish list" requests to Lisa. If you want to personalize the list, you can also send her a comment for inclusion. Please keep any items on the list under $150. We will work to communicate these lists in our next Eagle (likely after registration). You can view my daughter's list here if you are looking for an example.

Weekly Update for July 17, 2023

All Staff
The Network Infrastructure project has been postponed to July 31 due to an equipment availability issue. Jared and I are working with CESA 6 to develop a solution. Currently, progress continues on cabling and setting up the network cabinets.

The power shutdown initially scheduled for Friday, July 14, has been moved to Wednesday, July 19. At this time, it is not known when this will occur. It should only be for about 2 hours in the new part of our building. 

Another WELS school received an offer for a free Cricut Air 2, but they do not currently need it. If anyone would like this device, please let me know.

Progress continues on cleaning, maintenance, and organization. As a reminder, all science kits will be moved out of the meeting room and into the Fellowship Hall Closet. Unclaimed property in the Fellowship Hall closet will be placed on the two closest rows of tables until Friday, July 21, at noon. After that, any remaining items may be disposed of.

Weekly Update for July 10, 2023

All Staff
Progress continues on both our Built on the Rock and network infrastructure projects. No significant updates to either at this time.

I apologize for the lateness of this update. I had intended to get it out on Monday morning but was pleasantly surprised by a WELS training on PowerSchool. The good news is that Jared and I are finally getting trained and have learned much about using the tool. 

At this time, masonry work is continuing on the first floor. There is also an electrical switchover planned for July 14. Expect that power will be out for between 1 and 4 hours at some point during the day.

Faculty
Please check with me before moving any furniture. As you know, we are tight on space and have moved things to exact locations.

Check the Summer Cleaning and Maintenance document occasionally.

Weekly Update for July 3, 2023

All Staff
Significant work has been done on the masonry this past week. We continue to pray for the workers and the project itself. Considerable work has also been done to restore the playground equipment and complete the parking lot.

Faculty
Work continues on our Faculty Handbook. We have a few more meetings scheduled in July, but anyone is welcome to review/comment at this time. 

I will be reviewing the Fellowship Hall closet. I aim to have all unlabeled items removed by the end of the second week of July.
