Weekly Update for February 27, 2023

Please keep the Mulkey family in your prayers. Ella had surgery on Friday (doing well). On Saturday, Asher had a seizure. He seems to be doing okay now and they have a diagnosis and treatment plan.

This week on Wednesday, we welcome two new students Olivia (5K) and Oliver (4K) Chen. If you see a couple of new faces, please say hello.

As a reminder, we will be changing our student pickup tomorrow. Plan to exit out the east side activity center door and stage students in the playground parking lot for pickup.

We will have a funeral on Monday. This will only affect 3K/4K pickup at this time.

The 8th Grade has selected their hymn and verse:

Hymn 510 - In Christ Alone

Romans 8:39 - "neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

We still have a couple of spots to fill to keep our Before School Program running. So far, illishia Sterr (Wednesdays) and Amelia Flunker (Mondays and Fridays, starting March 10) have volunteered. If you can think of anyone who might be able to assist, please let Brittany know.

Weekly Update for February 20, 2023

Nothing new to report regarding the Built on the Rock project. Whether the fencing goes up or not, we will start our new exiting procedure (East Doors) on February 28. Major projects including the Gym emergency door installation and electrical switchover are now scheduled for the week of March 13 (spring break).

Our Cheer (3rd Place) and Boys A Basketball (1st Place) teams had solid performances in their respective competitions over the weekend. Congratulations to the athletes and coaches on a productive season.

We will have Muffins in the morning this Wednesday, which means that we will move the WELS Kids Connection back to March 1.

Weekly Update for February 13, 2023

There continues to be a lot of activity around our Built on the Rock project. Temporary fencing around the construction site has been erected and this fencing will eventually extend to the south end of the gym. That is scheduled for the last week of February. The job trailer is now onsite.

There is also an electric switch over that will need to occur. This would lead to a 4 hour shut down of electricity in parts of the building. This was initially scheduled for the week of February 20, but it looks like this will now be moved to the week of March 13 (spring break).

The BOCE will be meeting on February 16. Tuition and our BOCE policies will be discussed.

Enrollment traffic has really picked up and I will be conducting tours of the building in the coming weeks to prospective parents and students. No action required here, but I did want to let you know.

We are planning for our schoolwide pep rally on February 17 starting at 2:15.
