Weekly Update for September 30, 2022

God's Richest Blessings on your week!

This week will be known as the week of field trips. Thankfully, everyone made it to a from safely and it was clear the students really enjoyed these learning opportunities.  :)

Soccer and Volleyball seasons will be wrapping up very soon. If you haven't had an opportunity to watch them yet this year, next week may be your last chance to see our students play this year with home matches on Tuesday for both sports.

Board of Education Chairman Brian Zweig will be at St. Paul on Tuesday, October 4 in our meeting room. He has set 4:15 to 4:30 aside to listen to staff concerns.

You may have noticed a different cleaning crew this week. Noemi informed me today that Jose and Kilo quit. Today she had trouble getting subs so a crew will be coming in tomorrow morning. Noemi is hopeful that she will have a new team set for next week.

Weekly Update for September 16, 2022

God's Richest Blessings on your week!

At Board of Education meeting the Faculty Handbook, Early Childhood Handbook, our building security policy were approved. A motion was made and passed to recommend to the Council a replacement for a call to an Extended Learning teacher.

Our PTO met on Monday. Seroogy candy bars were packaged for distribution and plans for Grandparent's day food were discussed.

Last week we did a walkthrough with CESA 6 and a representative from OneSource to continue our evaluation of our Technology Infrastructure and seek advice and a quote for our network. We will present any finding to our technology committee for further review. That committee will have it's first meeting on September 22.

I have reworked the Maintenance and Cleaning tracking so they are no longer word documents. Please continue to email me your concerns as they arise.

We will have the funeral service for Marie Tills at church on Wednesday, September 21. This will necessitate lunch in classrooms as well as a general reminder to keep the volume level down as much as possible during this time. The schedule is located in the upcoming dates.

Update for September 9, 2022

God's Richest Blessings on your week! Hard to believe we have had 3 wonderful weeks go by so quickly.

Demolition for the Parsonage is now scheduled for Tuesday, September 13. Discussions continue on moving the playground, with the goal of having the playground moved by the end of October.

Our Athletic Meeting on September 7 went very well. If any parents still need to view the recording, please have them connect with Mr. Jammer.

Our initial meeting with CESA 6 to discuss our wireless network was very enlightening. We will continue conversations with CESA 6 with the goal of working up a quote that will allow for the eventual installation of a stable network, functional phones in every classroom and a working public address system.

Our family game night went very well, I am very appreciative of all the individuals who stepped up to help support this important family event. We are still calculating the actual attendance, but we had at least 16 families join us on Friday.

Upcoming Dates
September 12 - PTO Meeting - 5:30 PM
September 13 - Faculty Bible Study - 3:45 PM
September 13 - Board of Education Meeting - 6:30 PM
September 14 - Soccer & Volleyball - Home Matches
September 27 - Early Release

God's Richest Blessings on your week! Hard to believe we have had 2 wonderful weeks go by so quickly.

Built on the Rock project continues to move forward. Demolition of the parsonage has been delayed due to additional permits needed. I will update you when I have additional information.

Family Game Night is scheduled for September 9. At this point it does not look like we will be able to get Gnome Games to come, so we will be asking Faculty members to bring a favorite family game and ask that they share it with others. Please use this sheet to sign up.

Jared and I have a meeting scheduled with a representative from the CESA 6 technology team on Wednesday from 8:45 to 9:45. This meeting will be an opportunity to review our current network infrastructure and develop some quotes for improving the stability and bandwidth of our network. If you have other specific concerns about technology, please let Jared know.
